Yesterday was Kyson's 2 month check up (it was a little late because he's 11 weeks today). He weighs 9 lbs. 13 oz. and the Doctor was a little concerned because he isn't gaining at a steady rate. She thinks it's probably because he spits up so much, so we're going to work on techniques to keep it down him, then go back to have him re-weighed in 2 weeks and if it hasn't picked she's going to start him on a medicine that helps him not spit up so much. Other than that, he's perfectly healthy. He did get 3 immunization shots though, so we've had a bit of a rough day today. He's pretty much wanted mommy to hold him all the time, especially while he sleeps, and has been nursing more than usual. I gave him some Tylenol, but as soon as his 4 hours is up he starts whimpering again. My poor little man. I'm nervous to take those little bandages off , hopefully they'll come off easily in the bath. I miss my smiley boy who is good at entertaining himself for periods of time. I'm sure he'll feel better tomorrow, I'd take this over all those things he was immunized for any day. If you look closely at the picture, you can see his Bandaids on his legs.

Ethan got immunizations this week, too. Poor babies. I wish you'd come out to Pennsylvania so our boys could play together.
Love the blog and the cute pictures of Kyson. Welcome to the blogging neighborhood!!
Hi - I just read about your son spitting up . . . my daughter does the same/did the same for a while before we were able to diagnose her with GERD (reflux). If you have the money, our doctor recommended a Tucker Sling for sleeping. We didn't invest in that, but did try Zantac and Prevacid. The Prevacid worked very well and with our samples came coupons for a free pharmacy supply. I know how you feel about the spitting up. Some doctors will say that as long as the children are "happy spitters" then there is no problem, but if you feel that your son really isn't gaining the weight he needs to be, be SURE you push the doctors to do something more for him.
Other than that, hang in there . . . try feeding him a little more upright . . . prop him up on a pillow to sleep (I found a feather pillow works best to form around the baby) . . . I am sure you know the tricks by now. Usually babies outgrow this when they start to sit up on their own and the esophagus is more vertical.
Good luck!!
