Fourth of July Road Trippin

There's nothing like a good road trip to help celebrate 4th of July. This year our family went to a little town called Canadian that's just under 2 hours northeast of Amarillo. We decided to go for two reasons, one was because we have heard from several friends that Canadian is a really nice little place and worth a visit. The second was because we wanted to do something festive for Independence Day, but nothing was going on here besides fireworks at 10:00. We didn't make it to all the events, but we did go to an art fair, firefighter hose water play, and of course, a rodeo. It really was a nice town and we had a good time. We were back in Amarillo in time to watch the fireworks.

Kyson's hair is hilarious! Looks like a fun road trip. It's been a long time since I've been to a rodeo, and a Texas rodeo seems even more authentic.
