Kyson's First birthday was planned to be at the park in the evening. Well, it started raining just as we started setting things up so I called up my good friend Heather and asked if we could change the location to her house. She agreed, which was so nice of her. So, we moved everything to her house. It turned out really well, the kids had a good time playing with bubbles in the front yard, and we had cake and ice cream inside. Kyson was a little unsure about the whole thing and had no idea it was all for him. Here's some pictures of the party...

The 1 stands for Lindsey's first time making a kid's birthday cake...harder than it looks!
The totally confused face Kyson was making while everyone was singing was priceless
(better than my fear of him trying to grab the fire!)

After realizing that frosting made his fingers messy, he decided that he didn't need them anyway and this is how he ate quite a bit of frosting and most of his ice cream.
Kyson thought presents were pretty good for climbing on. He actually started crying when we started ripping it for him, I think the noise scared him.
Up until right before we put him to bed Kyson was enjoying his presents
